Lake Minnewaska - Gertrude's Nose & Millbrook Mountain Loop 7 Miles

This is a lollipop 7-mile hike that encompasses spectacular scenery, and a heart-stopping overlook with an elevation gain of 1,200 feet. Not recommended for beginners.

Bring plenty of water and snacks, and appropriate seasonal items (sun- and insect-protection in summer, and crampons in winter). Day-of-hike-only phone: +914-672-5156.

Please arrive at the gate no later than 8:50 as there may be long lines to get in. We start at 9:15 from the visitors center. We can set up carpools from NY/NJ as we get closer.

**Note** We hike at a moderate pace, and never leave anyone behind. Our hikes are not suitable for fast hikers who like to forge ahead of the group.

**To join our hikes, you must enable Meetup messaging with organizers (see "New to hiking" link below), and must post a profile image that can be used to recognize you. If you do not, you may be removed from Going list.
