What we’re about

We are group of stakeholders working to reconnect the small and great financial wealth concentrated in this part of the country to the beautiful urban and rural working landscape that we live in by investing as if food, farming and communities mattered. If you believe, as we do, that money can be used as a powerful tool and can be intelligently invested to meet current needs while not just minimizing future harm to our soils, water, personal and community health, but to actually increase the vitality of all - by putting money to work in our local agrarian economy - then this is a Meet Up group for you. Calling all caring eaters, growers, producers and investors in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. This regional group will be supported by smaller, more localized groups formulating local initiatives.

From the Slow Money Principles, "The 21st Century will be the era of nurture capital, built around principles of carrying capacity, care of the commons, sense of place and non-violence." Sign The Principles: http://org2.democracyinaction.org/o/6351/p/dia/action/pub....
