What we’re about

🌲 The Green Miles Trail Group of Surrey and Beyond:
About Us
Welcome to The Green Miles Trail Group of Surrey and Beyond! We are a dedicated community for intermediate and experienced hikers who value both long walks and the restorative power of nature.

We believe that true wellness is found several miles from the nearest traffic light. Our mission is to facilitate an active escape from urban life through long, scenic walks, connecting with nature, and finding 'circular clarity' on the trail.

What We Do
Long-Distance Routes: Our walks typically range around 8-12 miles at a good, sustainable pace. If you enjoy achieving some mileage, while socialising and enjoying the surroundings this is the group for you.

Surrey and Beyond: While the stunning Surrey Hills serve as our home base, we regularly organize excursions and weekend trips to the South East's finest landscapes and the UK's premier National Parks.

Wellness Through Activity: Our hikes are designed to de-stress. We offer a social, supportive environment where you can connect with like-minded individuals, clear your head, and immerse yourself in the landscape.

Who Should Join?
This group is ideal for confident walkers who:

Are comfortable with long distances and varying terrain.

Able to maintain a good pace (5 mph).

Are seeking genuine, active escape and restorative time away from the city.

Want to explore beyond the usual short local loops.

If you’re ready to trade urban noise for the serenity of the trail and find your own 'green miles,' we look forward to meeting you!
