Paddle Lake Jocassee

Weather looks great for a visit to Jocassee. We'll meet at the RIGHT remote ramp at 10:00 and launch by 10:30. Expect to paddle 8 to 10 miles, with an open water crossing, so this paddle is not suitable for recreational kayaks. 14 ft. or longer kayaks with two bulkheads recommended.
Bring a lunch and we'll try to find a place to get out--the lake is very full.
Park admission is $8 per person ($5 senior), payable at the kiosk on the way to the ramp. There are restrooms at the launch.
As always, PFD must be worn. This is a meetup and you are responsible for your own safety.
