Fall Paddle on Keowee from Mile Creek Park

DATE CHANGED to Sunday Nov. 23! One more warm weather paddle this fall! We'll meet at Mile Creek Park on Keowee at 10:00. Launch by 10:30 latest. Most of the lake waters have been cooling down, but this part of Keowee receives the warm water from the power plant, and we will probably paddle toward the facility.
We don't expect a long paddle--probably 7 to 8 miles, though anyone wanting more miles can add distance.
Bring a lunch and $5 cash for parking (I don't think the kiosk takes credit cards). There are restrooms at the launch area.
Kayaks 14 ft. or longer recommended for open water and likely wind, and to keep up with the group,
As always, PFD is required to be worn.
