Childish Things: A Memoir by Dave Warnock and Jennifer Wachtel Kates is a 2022 autobiographical book that details Warnock's 35-year transition from an evangelical Christian pastor to an atheist.
The memoir traces Warnock's involvement in the 1970s Jesus Movement, his subsequent decades working on church staffs, and his eventual deconversion from Christianity.
It covers his shift away from faith alongside personal, vocational, and financial challenges, paired with his later diagnosis with ALS.
