Details

Discover Shogi
The game of Shogi has been played across centuries in Japan by shogun and samurai.

Come and learn how to play this strategic game, make new friends and have fun. It is easy to learn, a lifetime to master.

Shogi 将棋 translates to "Game of Generals" from Japanese. Even today, it is enjoyed by millions of people worldwide.
Shogi is an exciting and strategic board game that anyone can learn.

✨Shogi Club nights: Casual Fridays✨
Fridays are relaxed club nights at Shogi Club Tokin in the Hague. We will happily teach you. From there you can play and discover the game further against players of various strengths.

For beginners we use special Shogi sets on which you can see the movements of every playing piece. This helps you to learn quick and easy.

You can also bring along guests who are interested to try. Guests need to register through Meetup.
Let's have a fun and social shogi evening together!😊✨

For people who would like to learn Dutch, it is also a nice way to meet new people and practice :)

Costs
It is free of charge to try. You can come and play on several evenings for free. Once you feel that you want to be part of the club and want to play shogi regularly, then you can become a club member.

Drinks
Water is free of charge. 50 cent per cup of tea or coffee. 1 euro per can of soda.

Food
There are many nice and cost-friendly options for various Asian and specialty cuisines nearby in Chinatown of the Hague.

It is possible to bring your food and eat it at the Shogi club, if this is more convenient for you 😊
