# The Unhustle Studio: Relationships That Help Us Slow Down

Theme: Relationships that Help Us Slow Down
When: Wednesday, 5:00–6:00 PM PT (online)
Where: Zoom link after RSVP
Hustle culture isn’t just a work thing—sometimes we hustle the most inside our relationships. We over-explain, over-give, over-manage… and then wonder why slowing down feels impossible. This week we’ll explore how relationships can either support a healthy pace or quietly sabotage it—and what it takes to build circles that cheer for our rest, boundaries, and ease.
We’ll cover:

  • “Hustle dynamics” in relationships: people-pleasing, overfunctioning, micro-urgency
  • What supportive relationships sound like (and what they don’t)
  • Scripts for slowing the pace without guilt (“dropping the rope,” tiny no’s, permission statements)
  • How to ask for co-regulation and practical help (body doubling, slower plans, clear endings)
  • Red/green flags: is this connection restorative or depleting?

Flow of the hour:

  1. Arrive & settle (2 min breath downshift)
  2. Mini-teach: how connection shapes nervous system pace (10 min)
  3. Group share + live scripting practice (20 min)
  4. Close with one “slow-down ask” you’ll try this week (5 min)

Reflection prompts to bring with you:

  • Where do I feel the most pressure to rush or prove?
  • Who helps me move at a humane pace—and how do they do it?
  • What tiny boundary or “slow ask” would change my week?

What to bring: a notebook, a gentle beverage, and your honest self (messy welcome).
