Central Park - Plant Walk!

Join in on another Pay-What-You-Can Walk! Everyone welcome! No experience necessary! No one will be turned for lack of funds! Bring your kids! Dogs are welcome too!

Weather Permitting, I am hoping to get a chance to see many familiar faces and welcome new members at New York City's most famous green-space: Central Park!!

During this walk I will share background on local plants, wildlife, fungi, as well as any herbal uses and folklore of what we may encounter along the way! This format allows for discussion between ourselves, and you are invited to share your own knowledge of plants and how to use them.

Created in the late 1800's, Central Park has become home to countless native and not-so-native species!

It'll be a great chance to swap stories, recipes, and techniques! There is ALWAYS more to learn!

Recommended to Wear:

• Sneakers or Boots
• Long pants or leggings
• Hat or visor

Recommended to Bring:

• A notebook and pens/pencils
• Sunglasses
• Bug Spray and Sunblock
• Cameras
• If you'd like to collect samples to press for your Herb Journal/ Materia Medica/ Herbarium, make sure to bring an extra notebook, brown paper bags, and/or ziploc bags, or plastic jars/containers.
