The Housatonic Rail-Trail in Trumbull, a.k.a., the Pequonnock Valley Greenway, offers a shady respite from suburban Trumbull, this fairly flat trail overlooks the winding Pequonnock River for much of its 3.4 miles (7 miles round trip). Rapids and distinctive rock outcrops add interest.
Directions: Take route 25 to Exit 9. turn left on Daniel's Farm Rd. at light take right onto SR 127--followed by an immediate right onto Tait Rd (not Tait's Mill) and then park.
[Parking lot is not big at all but there’s parking around the corner at a shopping center or across the street where Starbucks and CVS is. Do not park on the street or you’ll get a ticket.
