Details

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER'S HIKE.

Discover this 7-mile loop trail in Beacon Falls, Connecticut. Starting from Beacon Falls Town Recreation Field parking lot, we will eventually climb up to Toby's Rock lookout for a spectacular view and then loop around the Naugatuck State Forest area.

The first part of the hike is considered a moderate route, but once we reach the Falls, it will become a lot more challenging!!! Rated B+ for difficulty and distance. You will be required, in several spots, to rock-climbing as we traverse along Spruce Brook.

Hopefully, the hike should just take an average of 3-1/2 hours to complete. No pets allowed.

Lunch at Oxford House Tavern afterwards (optional). 441 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT.

If you RSVP “YES” and can’t make it, PLEASE change your RSVP so that the next person on the waitlist can attend.

We do ask for a contribution of $3 per hike, or $15 per year, to cover meetup.com fees and our annual social event.
