Deer Pond Farm, Sherman, CT. 7-mile hike - Picnic afterwards.

Deer Pond Farm covers 835 acres of rugged hardwood forest, meadows and wetlands straddling the state borders of Connecticut and New York. Situated between elevations of 900 and 1,200 feet, there are many vistas to enjoy along the trails. The sanctuary is open year-round, seven days a week, from dawn to dusk.

Great hike to converse with fellow hikers as path is at least 2 individuals wide during most of the trail!!!

Please arrive a few minutes early because we plan to start promptly at time listed. If you RSVP “YES” and can’t make it, PLEASE change your RSVP so the next person on the waitlist can attend. If picnic is scheduled, please bring something that could be shared (i.e. potluck).

Hike Rating: B+ for distance & elevation changes ~ 2.2 mph.

We do ask for a $3 per hike or $15 per year to cover meetup.com fees and our annual social event.
