Costumes optional, but please make sure they are safe for hiking. These trails are all flat, but we will hike at a moderate pace. Therefore, this is not a social walk. This six-mile hike will include a boardwalk and a view of Bantam Lake. The White Memorial Conservation Center contains 4,000 acres of forest, fields and wetland. We will meet in front of the museum (white building). Outhouses are not that great, so you may want to stop on the way. No dog or children.

Driving Directions: It's best to click on the map in the Meetup phone app for driving navigation, because some GPS services aren't always accurate. For streets from center of Litchfield, take Route 202 west past Stop & Shop and Dunkin, and look for Patty's Breakfast and the toy store on the left. Turn left into White Memorial and take a quick right on to its Whitehall Rd. Drive on the dirt road until you see the museum.

What to bring: Polls are not needed for this hike, but please wear hiking footwear, and bring bug spray, backpack, personal first aid and meds, water and snacks.

We do ask for a contribution of $3 per hike, or $15 per year to cover meetup.com fees. Please Venmo Grace Best @ Grace-Best-1. Last 4 digits of ☎️# are 9912.
