Heublein Tower and West Hartford Reservoir #6 Hike

Nice Fall Foliage hike around beautiful West Hartford MDC #6 Reservoir and up to Heublein Tower on the Metacomet Trail. Amazing views from Heublein Tower!!

Out hike coincides with the Tower Toot festival up at Heublein Tower with food vendors and music, so we will spend a little extra time at the Tower.

700 Feet Elevation Gain

Approximately 3 mph pace for the 3.6 miles around the reservoir and 2.5 mph pace up/down to the tower. The reservoir section is a mostly flat wide gravel/dirt path, so more like a walk, but lovely. The trail section up to the tower is a hike.

No Dogs. No Minors. No Beginners.

NOTE: Do NOT park in the first lot when you pull in. Proceed through that lot and continue on the road around the reservoir about a mile until you reach the back lot near the big green water tanks.
