White Memorial Trails - Litchfield, CT

10:00 start, rescheduled from October 31. This eight-mile, B level hike will include a boardwalk and a few views of Bantam Lake. We will hike at 2 to 2.5 mph, but this is not a social walk. We will meet in front of the museum (white building). Outhouses are not that great, but there's a Dunkin' and Stop & Shop near the center of town, and Patty's Restaurant is near the entrance. Please have: Personal first aid and meds, water and snacks, clothing layers (no cotton or jeans), comfortable hiking footwear, backpack, and tick repellent. Polls are optional for this one. No pets or children, please.

Driving Directions: You may click on the map in the Meetup phone app for driving navigation. For streets from center of Litchfield, take Route 202 west past Stop & Shop and Dunkin, and look for Patty's Breakfast and the toy store on the left. Turn left into White Memorial and take a quick right on to its Whitehall Rd. Drive on the dirt road until you see the museum.
