Pequonnock River Valley in Trumbull

6 mile loop with the first half hiking all along the river. You have to watch your footing in some areas because of the criss-crossing streams and waterlogged paths. There are gorges, a little waterfall and ridges alongside the river. This is a level B, 482 ft Elev. gain and not a beginners hike.

Please wear proper hiking footwear with good traction (no sneakers), microspikes are mandatory, and poles are optional. Bring water, snacks, personal medications, and basic first-aid. Dress in layers, no cotton or jeans, and wear weather-appropriate clothing, including waterproof boots and snow pants if needed. If the hike leader determines you are not properly prepared, you may not be allowed to participate. This is strictly for your safety.

Please arrive a few minutes early because we plan to start promptly at the time listed. If you RSVP "YES" and can't make it, PLEASE change your RSVP so that the next person on the waitlist can attend.
