West Rim & Castle Craig Lookouts

SPECIAL WINTER HIKE!!!

Just to give us a trail to get out there. We will take the road up to the Castle and Radio Towers. This hike will be approximately 7.8 miles with 942ft elevation gain on a plowed road. Micro, Nano, or Exo-spikes should be worn. If we could keep a moderate pace, we should finish in approximately 2-1/2 hours. No pets allowed.

Please arrive ten to fifteen minutes early because we plan to start promptly at the time listed.

Be prepared and smart! So please bring:
snacks and water
layered clothing, including hats and gloves
micro-spikes in case it's icy or snowy
pickleball paddles if it's not.

Lunch at Viron Rondo, 1721 Highland Ave., Cheshire, CT. (optional).
