Evening in the Moore Park Ravine is a special place, the quiet, tranquility puts one at ease and prepares the walker for a restful evening and weekend. Sounds great doesn't it?

Toronto's lungs are its ravines, its green oasis, breathing life into the City itself. A city emerging from forest.

Fanning outward like the veins in a leaf, Toronto's ravines bring a touch of the country to every city neighbourhood. They provide a tranquil sanctuary and respite from the noise and bustle, and a safe home for birds, and other animals.

The Moore Park or Belt Line Ravine stretches from the Don Valley Parkway east of Rosedale to the edge of Mount Pleasant Cemetery. It has faced destruction several times in its long history. But cooler heads have prevailed. It served as an early commuter railway route between Toronto and its suburbs. But during the 1940s plans were underway to utilize the ravine for a major traffic artery which was never built. For that we are truly thankful. A garden awaits us.

Take a walk on the real wild side and let's follow and explore the old Moore Park Ravine and North Rosedale.

This walking tour is for all walking levels and fitness skills, but there are several hills on this walk. Please dress for the season and bring water. Hope to see you there.

This walking tour begins outside the Castle Frank Subway Station on the Bloor Danforth Line. We end this walk at the corner of Moore Park and Mount Pleasant Road, adjacent to transit.

This tour has a ticket price of $15.00 per person!
