Swansea is surrounded by an ocean of calm serenity. An oasis of green and blue on the shores of Lake Ontario. With the Humber River and Lake Ontario to the west and south, High Park to the east, and Bloor West Village to the north, Swansea is in an enviable position and has been since it was incorporated in 1926.
It quickly became a well-governed community and has been able to maintain its peaceful country like atmosphere despite the fact it's in the middle of a bustling city. The village of Swansea amalgamated with Toronto in 1966.
Come and explore this little oasis of calm in a hectic world. Take a step back and refresh in Swansea. And get your walking steps in while you refresh, that's the trade-off.
And I bet you didn't know that the area was popular with skiers. Yes Swansea had its own ski lodge as well, go figure! The stories of Toronto never fail to disappoint! And with this tour I have added many new details not in the previous tours of the area, and now includes The Kingsway, so this tour can be classified as a MEGATOUR!
You certainly won't want to miss this new route for 2025!
This walking tour is for all levels and walkers. The tour begins north of the Runnymede Library at the corner of GlendonWynne and Bloor Street West in the park behind the library itself. The tour ends back at the starting point, the library.
This tour has a ticket price of $15.00 per person!
