Wychwood Park was founded in the late nineteenth century and this evening walk is the perfect summer retreat.
The area was a rural region on the edge of Toronto and named after Wychwood forest in Oxfordshire, England.
It is the least explored area ofToronto and is a pleasant walk any time of the year. And historically not well known.
Taddle Creek was dammed to create a large pond in the middle of the park, and is now the only place in the city where Taddle Creek is visible above ground. But did you know that it was an artist's colony under the watchful gaze of Marmaduke Mathews. With a name like that art will certainly be the big draw in old Wychwood Park.
This walking tour is for all levels and walkers. The tour begins outside the St. Clair West Subway Station, 370 St. Clair Ave West, and ends at Bathurst Street and St. Clair Avenue.
This tour has a ticket price of $15.00 per person!
