The Hitchhiker's Guide to DevOps at Philips Hue

Details
Software lifecycle day one and two, starting your project with infrastructure as code (IaC) and ending it with monitoring in place.
On Thursday 26 October, software engineers Merwin Hill and Wesley Klop from our Philips Hue project will share insights on how they run such a global service with a relatively small team.
Philips Hue
Since 2012, Q42 has been building the back-end of one of the most successful IOT products in the world, the smart Philips Hue light bulbs. Over the years, it has grown into a robust platform that easily controls many hundreds of thousands of Hue lamps worldwide.
The latest in cloud native computing
Recently, Philips Hue started shipping security cameras. What did we do to support and monitor this? In this talk, engineers Merwin and Wesley from our Hue team will go through the DevOps lifecycle of the project, explaining how we not only create new projects but also modernize existing projects using the latest in cloud native computing. Leveraging IaC, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, GitOps, OpenTelemetry and Datadog.
After their talks, there is also ample opportunity to ask Merwin and Wesley questions.
