Acoustic music jams in Hereford, Maryland, near Prettyboy Reservoir. All musicians and singers welcome! Free! Space is very limited! You must register for events!

Our focus is on music jams where folk can bring songs for everybody to play. We're a very casual group. No one is ever put on the spot. We welcome new singers and beginners.

Occasionally, for beginners just wanting to absorb and for experienced players, we'll schedule a "deep dive practice session" where we work on just a few songs to see how well we can render them. We also love folks who want to explore vocals and harmonies (especially those just starting to sing in public.) If you're even a wee nervous or unsure, then we're your group!

We play mostly folk, old time, country, standards, classic rock, and Irish music. But we're open to other genres.

What to bring: your instrument, a music stand, a tablet (if you have one), bottled water. If you have a song to share, bring a dozen copies to hand out.

Serving Carroll County and Southern Central Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. We get folks from York, Hampstead, Towson, Westminster, Hanover, Red Lion, and more!

What kinds of instruments typically show up? Guitars, fiddles, ukuleles, banjos, mandolins, bass, cellos, hand drums, recorders, flutes. But really any acoustic instrument is welcome.
