Special Event: Horror Author Talks - An Evening with Kate Griffin and Kim Newman

Details

Join us for an evening of conversation with our Horror Book Club patron Kim Newman, and the author of Fyneshade, the novel Kim selected for our September read this year, Kate Griffin!

If you have any questions you would like to ask them, please send them in advance to Andy or Hannah who will be hosting the evening.

Doors will open at 7pm, with the discussion starting at 7.30pm. Drinks and food will be available from the bar.

Kim Newman is a writer, journalist and critic. During his career he has won the Bram Stoker Award, the International Horror Guild Award, and the BSFA award. One of the world’s foremost experts on fantasy and horror cinema, Kim co-writes BBC’s Secrets of Cinema with Mark Kermode, the third series aired in 2021. Noteable titles include PROFESSOR MORIARTY, AN ENGLISH GHOST STORY and the ANNO DRACULA series.

Kate Griffin was born within the sound of Bow bells, making her a true-born cockney. She has worked as an assistant to an antiques dealer, a journalist for local newspapers and now works for The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. Kitty Peck and the Music Hall Murders, Kate's first book, won the Stylist/Faber crime writing competition. Kate lives in St Albans.
