Patron's Choice: In A Glass Darkly by J. Sheridan Le Fanu

Details
As many of you know, the author, journalist and encyclopedia of all horror knowledge, Kim Newman, has been our Horror Book Club patron for many years and every year he picks a book for us to read and discuss. This year he has gone for a classic, with J. Sheridan Le Fanu's collection of stories, In A Glass Darkly.
PLEASE NOTE: We will be discussing all 5 stories from the collection and have noticed that some eBooks/audiobooks do not contain all 5 stories so please check before spending any cash! There are also free versions available as it is out of copyright - try Project Gutenberg or YouTube.
Here’s the summary from Goodreads:
This remarkable collection of stories, first published in 1872, includes Green Tea, The Familiar, Mr. Justice Harbottle, The Room in the Dragon Volant, and Carmilla. The five stories are purported to be cases by Dr. Hesselius, a 'metaphysical' doctor, who is willing to consider the ghosts both as real and as hallucinatory obsessions. The reader's doubtful anxiety mimics that of the protagonist, and each story thus creates that atmosphere of mystery which is the supernatural experience.
The meeting will start at 7pm and finish between 9.00 and 10pm (BST), with breaks in between. Just a reminder that the pub lets us to use the room at no charge so please do purchase drinks/food from the bar. Bringing in your own food from outside the pub is not allowed!
