About us
The Human-Animal Connection brings people and animals together for the benefit of both. We do visits with therapy dogs, help people adopt the right companion animal from the shelter, and do educational programs to help people understand animals, communicate more effectively and deepen their connection. We use all positive methods to help animals who may be stressed or experiencing trauma, and help people to learn to work with animals who may be difficult adoptions. We work with everyone and offer no-charge services to Veterans, Active Duty, Health Care Providers, First Responders, and those experiencing stress in the line of duty.

Soothing Touch for Animals
Location not specified yetInteractive Workshop - Soothing Touch for Animals
Animals experience stress just like we do--and they rely on us to help them feel safe, calm, and understood.
In this experiential class, you'll learn simple, powerful ways to communicate love and reassurance through gentle touch.
These seven techniques, developed by Genie Joseph, PhD, from her thousands of hours working with scared and traumatized shelter dogs, can be done in one or two minutes at a time. They will make a profound difference in your animal's well-being, physical comfort, and will deepen the spiritual connection and bond between you.
This event is a fundraiser for The Human-Animal Connection and Center 4 Self Care.
