Photo Editing Co-Working in Cupertino
Details
Come hang out with fellow photographers to sit down and edit. It works like a study hall for photo editing. No instructor, no assignment, no critique panel. You bring a laptop and the files you want to work on. Enjoy two hours to work on it with other people doing the same thing nearby.
The idea for this event came from missing the darkroom and the digital lab in art school, where you worked alone but not by yourself.
Bring anything: Lightroom catalogs, Photoshop files, Capture One, Affinity, DaVinci, phone edits. Culling a shoot counts. Keywording, sequencing physical prints, building your website or learning a tool you bought two years ago counts.
Photographers, retouchers, digital artists, videographers, and designers are all welcome, at any level.
The space has tables, plenty of outlets, wifi, and curtains we pull so you can actually see your screen.
Bring a laptop, a charger, your files on a drive or already loaded, and headphones if you plan to go heads down.
How it runs: the first 15 minutes are hellos. After that, it is working time. Talk if you want, but headphones on means leave them alone. We stop at 8:30.
Free. No purchase required.
Friday, October 23, 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Doors at 6:15.
Special thanks to HumanOp for hosting and supporting the event.
