Improving deep neural networks by understanding the structure of processed data

We are excited to announce the first meeting for Computer Vision & Machine Learning meetup!

Our first event will take place on Tuesday June 20, 18:00, at Park Ha’mada, Rechovot.

At the event, you’ll get the chance to hear Dr. Raja Giryes from the school of electrical engineering at Tel Aviv University discussing: “How the structure of processed data can improve our understanding and usage of deep neural networks.“

The past five years have seen a dramatic increase in the performance of recognition systems due to the introduction of deep architectures for feature learning and classification. However, the mathematical reasons for this success remain elusive. In this talk, we will see how knowledge on the structure of the processed data may improve our understanding and usage of deep neural networks.
