About us
The Informed Table is a group for intellectually curious adults in downtown Chicago who want to combine thoughtful, informed conversation with genuine social connection and a memorable night out.
At each gathering, members come together around the table at a local bar or restaurant to engage seriously with ideas and build lasting connections with others who value intellectual inquiry, nuanced thought, and good-humored exchange—all while enjoying the pleasures of a great meal and a lively evening out on the town.
Topics are selected by members in advance of each event. The tone is substantive but relaxed, intellectually serious but socially warm. We’re looking for informed opinions, not unexamined personal convictions. No one is expected to be an expert, but members should come ready to think, listen, and contribute with curiosity, openness, and respect.
