Wines from Bordeaux

Welcome to the start of the new IWSS season of tastings. We are starting with a really great event!

This evening, we will be visiting (within wine glasses) one of the classic wine regions of the World: Bordeaux.

Greig Wilson, of North South Wines, will be conducting tonight's tasting. We shall be looking at wines from the Southern parts of the region: Entre Deux Mers and Pessac-Leognan, alongside some more generic Bordeaux appellations.

We shall start with a fizz (Crémant de Bordeaux), and then continue by looking at 4 whites, then 4 reds. So, there will be plenty to consider and talk about. However, we must bear in mind that we are required to be out of the building before 22h00. So, chatting after the end of the formal tasting will be limited - or have to move elsewhere!

Attendance at a tasting is £30 per person. However, a season's membership is £180 for access to all 12 tastings, in Edinburgh and in Glasgow. A single city membership is £100, for the 6 tastings in whichever city you select. It will be very helpful if you can please bring cash to make these payments, either that or ask for our bank details.

This is a perfect opportunity to explore the different appellations and calibres of wines from this superlative wine-producing region, whether you are a beginner in the world of wine or already into it.
