I recently went to Heart of the Rose Festival, where hundreds of women came together to learn, play, move, connect and simply enjoy being women together. I wasn’t there as a facilitator. I was there as a woman, and it reminded me how much I want to bring this closer.

So I’m creating what I want to be part of.

I’m Sarah, and I’ve spent much of my life working around beauty, women, expression and wellbeing. I began as a makeup artist and, over the years, my work has grown into bodywork, holistic practice, specialist autism support, safeguarding and person-centred work

Across all of these areas, I’ve become deeply cultured in communication, relationship, choice, and embodiment.

My approach to life is integrative. I don’t believe one system has all the answers, and I’m a leader in some things and a complete beginner in others. I want this community to have that same quality of curiosity, where we can bring what we know while remaining open to what we don’t.

I also want us to have somewhere to be honest about the beautiful and difficult parts of being alive. Grief and anger are messy and ugly, and relationships can be too. I think that when we learn not to run away from those parts of ourselves, but to stay present with them, we give our relationships a much better chance of becoming honest, resilient and deeply connected.

I don’t want this to become another networking group. I want women who genuinely care about their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of their relationships to meet, make friends, eat, talk, laugh, play and experience one another in real life.

There will be beauty in it too, beauty has always been part of how I integrate my emotions. Alters, Food, Music, Ritual the things that make us feel

And this is where the word Apothecary comes from for me. Apothecaries are full of petals and oils, tinctures and little bottles that fizz and change when you mix them together. Sometimes I think that is how my mind feels too, and perhaps yours does as well.

It reminds me of being a child in the garden with my older sister, collecting things from nature and making potions. We didn’t know what we were making; we were simply playing, experimenting and creating memories. There’s something about that feeling I want back.

This is for women who are somewhere in the process of becoming pre, mid or post metamorphosis.

A place where we can be both wise and beginners, leaders and learners, polished and completely undone.

I’m creating the kind of Apothecary I want to belong to. And I hope you might want to be part of it too.
