The Equinox marks the astronomical beginning of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere — a seasonal turning point when day and night come into near balance before we begin moving toward the longer nights of fall and winter.
The harvest season has traditionally been associated with gathering, gratitude and preparing for the season ahead.
Modern Pagan traditions often celebrate the Autumn Equinox as Mabon, honoring themes of harvest, abundance, gratitude and balance.
Astrologically, the Equinox also marks the Sun entering Libra — symbolized by the scales — making balance, harmony and recalibration beautiful themes for our evening.
