This is a leisurely 3 to 4 hour upstream and back paddle on beautiful Arbuckle Creek in Avon Park, FL. We will meet at 10:30 and launch when ready.
We will launch at Burnt Out Bridge Public Boat Ramp, 7600 East Arbuckle Road, Avon Park. Take County Rd 64 (an extension of SR 64) from Avon Park to East Arbuckle Road (watch for the right turn at the fork where 64 continues straight). The boat ramp is at the end of the road.
We will go upstream from there to Lake Arbuckle and back. About six miles round trip. We will be able to get out of our boats and stretch/snack/whatever at Lake Arbuckle, the halfway point.
