About us
This group is a community of tarot enthusiasts who gather monthly to practice, learn and share all things tarot. Community does what referring to reference materials alone can not. It builds a more well-rounded confidence in your understanding of the cards and in your style of reading. Together, we'll practice, figure things out and help make you a stronger reader.
MEMBERSHIP
**EVERYone is welcome to join; even ‘gentlemen’ despite being singled out in parentheses in the group name. Given our meeting times at noon, our group name is just a play on the Ladies who Lunch phrase :).
So, yes, everyone and anyone is welcome to join. Please note this is a private group with monthly membership dues of $3; starts on your 3rd month after your initial joining. This is to be a group with active members who show up.
MEETING DATES/TIMES/LOCATION
We meet on the first (2) Sundays of every month at 12pm at a coffee shop in the Pico Union neighborhood of Los Angeles, California.
This location is in the Westlake area of Central LA, specifically within the 90006 ZIP code. It is situated just over a mile from Downtown LA and is highly walkable (heads up: not clean in some parts), with a Walk Score of 95. It is an eight-minute walk from the Westlake/MacArthur Park Station, which serves the Metro B Line (Red) and D Line (Purple). Bus #28 stops one block away; Bus #30 stops three blocks away. Given our out of way location and Sunday meets, street parking is abundant.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A MEETING
- We'll start with having one person pull 3 cards (using Rider-Waite Smith deck I'll provide) and as a group, we’ll talk a bit about each cards' meaning/symbolism/etc and, then, also as a group, read the 3-card spread.
- Then, we’ll split into pairs for practice readings. 1st Sunday (Me Sunday): you’ll read for yourself; 2nd Sunday (You Sunday): read for your partner.
