The new "Wheels & Meals" series launches with this opening ride as summer quickly draws to a close. The route begins at Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn, taking participants out to the Rockaways.
This is a relaxed-paced ride; participants should be comfortable riding in traffic and are responsible for bringing helmet, water, and lights for safety.
At the destination, a meal awaits—an ideal chance to enjoy excellent Caribbean food with the last of the season’s warmth. To mark the occasion, the first bottle of Red Stripe beer will be on me. All vehicles and bike types are permitted. This event is not about speed and more about socializing, eating, and making the most of the final stretch of the summer season.
