Join us at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park for our first The Learners meetup!
The Learners is a study and social group for adults who have gone back to school—whether you're pursuing a master's, PhD, professional degree, certificate, or another form of higher education. Come meet other adult students who are balancing school with careers and the rest of adult life.
Bring your laptop, books, and whatever schoolwork you need to tackle. Headphones are encouraged if you need to listen to lectures or videos.
11:00–11:30 | Meet & Greet
Grab a coffee, introduce yourself, and share what you're working on.
11:30–12:30 | Focus Time
One hour of quiet, independent schoolwork.
12:30–1:00 | Share What You're Learning
We'll each share something interesting we're learning. No preparation needed!
Hungry? Third Place Commons has several food options right by our meeting space, including Honey Bear Cafe for coffee, breakfast, lunch, and baked goods; Dumpling Generation for Chinese food; Gyro Boss for Mediterranean; and The Everest Kitchen for Indian, Nepalese, and Tibetan food.
