Hello and welcome in the new year, dear Legal Tablers!
We want to start 2026 off with an all-time classic: is law derived only in and dependend on (national) jurisdictions or are there rules that go beyond those boundaries that are so universal that they transcent any one jurisdiction (positivists vs naturalists).
Delighted to have you joining us for our Legal Table. With The Legal Table™ we aim to create a legal debate format in an informal-social setting. We come together once a month and debate a legal issue (from past, present or future). No preparation is needed, you just come as you are, get yourself a pint (or any other sort of drink) and start joining the debate. Don’t worry if your debate turns into a conversation far from the initial legal issue. Utlimately the love, admiration for, and attraction to, law is what bring us together, but we want you to stay for the laughs!

NOTE: life can be busy, schedules and availability can change. So don't worry about updating your RSVP if it turns out you can't make it on the day of the event, there are more important things in life. In turn this means that the event is deemed cancelled if no one shows within the first half hour after the starting time of the event. This also means should you find yourself running late on the day of the event that you notify by message in the event or pm to the organizer.
