Pedals & Petals

As part of our unofficial Dutch culture integration course, we are organising the mandatory bike ride from Leiden to Lisse to enjoy the beautiful spring flowers together.
We will start at 10:30 AM from Leiden Central Station (LUMC side) and cycle through the Dutch countryside towards the famous flower fields around Lisse.
Don’t have a bike? No problem! You can rent one at the station before we start.
🌷 What to bring

• A bike 🚲
• Water & snacks
• Comfy clothes suitable for cycling

The route is about 40 km, but don’t worry! We will take it at a relaxed pace so everyone can enjoy the scenery.
We’ll make planned stops for bathroom breaks, photos, and a picnic lunch in Lisse, so bringing some food is important.
To keep the ride smooth and safe, we will split into smaller groups, each with a guide following the route. The groups will meet again for lunch and an afternoon break before cycling back to Leiden.
Come for the tulips, fresh air, and good company 🌷
☁️ Weather note: If the weather is not suitable for cycling, the event will be moved to Saturday, 25 of April.
