The Light and Shadow Puppet Guild

The Light and Shadow Puppet Guild is a place for anyone interested in the craft of shadow puppetry, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced performer. We meet regularly to share techniques, experiment with new materials, and troubleshoot the mechanics of our shadow screens. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where we can explore how light, texture, and movement come together to tell a story.

We keep our gatherings informal and hands-on, focusing on the actual work of designing puppets and staging scenes. Sometimes we work on individual projects, and other times we collaborate on short pieces to see how different silhouettes interact. If you have ever been curious about the history of this art form or just want to spend an afternoon cutting paper and playing with light, we would love to have you join us at our next session.
