Portland Shadow Play Magic Workshop

We are hosting a workshop for anyone interested in exploring the mechanics and atmosphere of shadow puppetry. Whether you have been working with puppets for years or are just curious about how light and silhouette can be used to tell a story, this session is for you. We will spend the afternoon experimenting with different light sources, screen materials, and cutout techniques to see how simple shapes come to life against a backdrop.

This is a low-pressure space meant for sharing ideas and getting hands-on with the craft. We will have some basic materials available to get everyone started, so just bring yourself and an open mind. It is a great chance to meet others in the local puppetry community and pick up a few practical skills for your own projects. If you think you might be able to make it, please let us know by RSVPing so we can get an idea of how many people to expect.
