What we’re about
Dear curious soul,
Welcome to The Liminal Club! This group seeks to gather people around "liminal web" topics (see below), assess ways to move from theory to practice, while remaining open about what wants to emerge.
This group is for you if you feel drawn by the following subjects and especially their connections:
-Themes: Metamodernism, Integral Theory, Systems Thinking & Complexity, Cognitive Science & Meta-Rationality, Consciousness, Collective Intelligence, Sensemaking, Theory-U, Left/Right-Brain dynamics, AI Risks & Ethics, Meaning & Metacrisis, Science & Spirituality, Regeneration, Inner Development Goals, Game-B, Second Renaissance, etc.
-People: Robert Kegan, Lisa Lahey, Ken Wilber, Daniel Schmachtenberger, Iain McGilchrist, Donella Meadows, John Vervaeke, Nora Bateson, Otto Scharmer, Tomas Björkman, Hanzi Freinacht, etc.
For a broader and deeper overview go here: https://www.joelightfoot.org/post/the-liminal-web-mapping-an-emergent-subculture-of-sensemakers-meta-theorists-systems-poets
The Goal: Meet around the above topics, assess common ground, and learn from each other. Gain new insights and perspectives that influence how we show up for ourselves, others, and the world.
The Format: We will meet in a casual environment that allows for small group (~4 people) conversations and one-on-ones, based on everyone's needs. Our first one or two meetups in Q4/2025 will be held to align on shared interests and figure out what we want this meetup to become. We want to co-create a space that insightfully inspires, curiously challenges, sweetly supports; and maybe, just maybe, truly transforms. This could be anything from a philosophical cafe to a social movement.
"Fun" Fact: The acronym for The Liminal Club, TLC, also stands for Tender Loving Care. I hope that this is how we show up for each other.
With joy,
Simon - TLC Organizer

TBA, Paris, FRHello curious soul,
This 1st meetup of The Liminal Club is for you if you feel pulled (or puzzled) by some of the following subjects and especially their connections:
-Themes: Metamodernism, Integral Theory, Systems Thinking & Complexity, Cognitive Science & Meta-Rationality, Consciousness, Collective Intelligence, Sensemaking, Theory-U, Left/Right-Brain dynamics, AI Risks & Ethics, Meaning & Metacrisis, Science & Spirituality, Regeneration, Inner Development Goals, Game-B, Second Renaissance, etc.

For a broader and deeper overview go here: https://www.joelightfoot.org/post/the-liminal-web-mapping-an-emergent-subculture-of-sensemakers-meta-theorists-systems-poetsThe Goal: We gather for the 1st time, most likely in a small group, to exchange about where each of us is in their liminal journey, and what this means for the future of this group. We will try to move the conversaton from theory to practice by learning how each of us is navigating the liminal space. We want to gain new insights and perspectives that influence how we show up for ourselves, others, and the world. We want to co-create a space that insightfully inspires, curiously challenges, sweetly supports; and maybe, just maybe, truly transforms. This could become anything from a philosophical cafe to a social movement.
The Format: We will meet in a casual environment in person in Paris (to be announced shortly) that allows for small group conversations and 1-on-1s, based on everyone's needs. Group conversations are kept in English. Our first one or two meetups in Q4/2025 will be focused on aligning on shared interests and figuring out what we want this meetup to become.
With joy,
