March at Lit & Sip is about women, power, history, and the stories that shape the present moment.

In honor of Women’s History Month—and on the heels of our Black History Month gathering—we’ll be reading 107 Days by Kamala Harris.

This book is a reflection on leadership under pressure, history unfolding in real time, and what it means to stand at the intersection of identity, responsibility, and resilience. It’s personal, political, and deeply human—exactly the kind of text that invites thoughtful conversation rather than easy answers.

Lit & Sip has always been about more than reading a book. It’s about gathering around stories with curiosity, empathy, and a willingness to listen. We don’t come to agree on everything. We come to think, to question, and to sit with complexity—together, with a glass in hand and respect in the room.

A note on our values and expectations, because clarity matters:

This is an inclusive, values-forward space. We welcome diverse perspectives and thoughtful disagreement, but we do not make room for rhetoric that dismisses lived experience, denies truth, or normalizes harm. Civil discourse here means listening with intention, speaking with care, and engaging from a place of empathy—not cruelty, not contempt, not bad-faith debate.

You are always welcome to skip a book if it isn’t for you. What isn’t optional is honoring the humanity of the people in the room.

Come ready for meaningful conversation, layered discussion, and the kind of night that reminds you why literature—and community—still matter.

Women’s History Month. A consequential voice. A table where every sip meets a story.

We’ll save you a seat.
