This is a new book group for those who would like to read, explore and discuss great works of the literary canon, meeting once a month in Kingston upon Thames.

All welcome. Attend for food and social 7-8 (optional) and book discussion 8-9. Discussing Lost Illusions by Honore de Balzac. I would suggest the Raymond N MacKenzie translation, or another translation which includes all 3 parts (The two Poets, The Parisian adventures of a great man from the provinces and The ordeals of an inventor).
