Your Evil Twin took the Bike
Details
Somebody who looks exactly like you has already signed up for this one, so you might as well join them. This latest ride in the LMCC "Beers & Wheels" series is a relaxed, social trip across two boroughs to two of New York's most fun breweries.
The ride kicks off at Grand Army Plaza at an easy, social pace. This is a ride for conversation, not speed records. Don't worry if Grand Army Plaza isn't convenient: riders are welcome to join the group at other points along the NYC route, and to peel off whenever it suits you too.
From there, we'll leave Manhattan over the Williamsburg Bridge and ride through Brooklyn neighborhoods to our first stop at Evil Twin Brewing. After a break to refuel and swap stories, we'll head over the Kosciuszko Bridge, enjoy the skyline views, and wind our way through Brooklyn to finish at Strong Rope Brewery in Red Hook.
We regroup along the way and nobody gets left behind. The breweries are for hanging out, so beer is welcome but never expected, and soda, coffee or just good company work too. It's also a great chance to explore parts of Brooklyn you might not usually ride through.
Please note that parts of the route are on streets shared with traffic, sometimes without bike lanes, so you should be comfortable riding in city traffic. Bring a helmet, lights, water, a lock, and a good attitude, whether you're the good twin or the evil one.
This is an informal ride; each rider is solely responsible for their own safety, equipment, and compliance with traffic laws. I’m not providing supervision or instructions—I’m just sharing the time and the route. By attending, you acknowledge the inherent risks of urban cycling and agree that you alone are responsible for your riding decisions and any consequences.
The ride will be canceled in case of rain.
