About us
The Local Backyard Beekeepers Social Collective is a community for those of us keeping hives in our own backyards. This group is designed as a space to trade practical advice, troubleshoot hive health issues, and share the seasonal rhythms of beekeeping. Whether you are managing a single Langstroth hive or exploring top-bar setups, we want to provide a space where you can talk through the realities of the craft with people who understand the day-to-day challenges.
We meet regularly to swap stories, discuss local forage conditions, and support one another through the highs and lows of the beekeeping year. There is no corporate agenda here, just a group of hobbyists looking to learn from our collective experience. If you are interested in connecting with other local keepers to talk about splits, mite treatments, or harvest tips in a low-pressure environment, you are welcome to join us.
