After lunch at Saffron Indian Bistro, we’re heading out for a beautiful spring wildflower hike guided by docents from Friends of Edgewood at Edgewood Park and Natural Preserve.

We’ll start from Saffron at around 1:30 PM and head over together to the Clarkia Trailhead. Carpooling is strongly encouraged since parking at the trailhead is limited.

Spring is the best time to experience Edgewood’s incredible biodiversity. The docent-led hike covers about 3 miles at a moderate pace, with plenty of stops to admire wildflowers and learn about the unique plants and wildlife in this special preserve.

Important:
Spots are very limited and this hike is being organized by Friends of Edgewood, so everyone must register individually through their Eventbrite link and sign the waiver . Seats are first come, first served.

What to bring:
• Sturdy shoes
• Water
• Sunscreen / hat
• Optional snacks

Note: There are no restrooms or water at the Clarkia Trailhead, so please plan ahead.

This should be a really fun way to enjoy spring in the Bay Area, discover one of the region’s most beautiful preserves, and spend time with good people from the group. 🌿✨
