PREMISE
The Bone Temple serves as the second instalment in Danny Boyle's planned sequel trilogy, which began with the release of 28 Years Later back in June. The third film is currently in development, though it has yet to receive the green light for production.

The synopsis for the middle chapter reads: "In a continuation of the epic story, Dr. Kelson finds himself in a shocking new relationship - with consequences that could change the world as they know it - and Spike's encounter with Jimmy Crystal becomes a nightmare he can't escape.

"In the world of The Bone Temple, the infected are no longer the greatest threat to survival - the inhumanity of the survivors can be stranger and more terrifying."

Boasting an A-list cast, The Bone Temple stars Ralph Fiennes, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Williams and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, all of whom reprise their roles from the previous film. Fans are also gearing up for the return of Cillian Murphy – star of 28 Days Later – as Jim, a survivor of the original outbreak in London.
