For our 3 day **LONG** **WEEKEND NEW YORK** we will take inspiration from great photographers who have turned their cameras on **THE BIG APPLE** such as Lynn Hyman Butler, Saul Leiter, Bruce Gilden, Elliot Erwitt and Vivian Maier.

We first meet in **Park Ave S** at **Fotograviska** on Saturday and during our 3 day meetup spend time taking photographs on the streets of **Lower Manhattan : Soho/China Town and Little Italy,** walk the **High Line**, visit **Times Square**, and take a train to the **amusement parks and** **beach life of Coney Island**. We also spend time photographing **New York architecture** and visit some **New York photo galleries** depending on what is on show in October 2024. A detailed schedule of times and locations will be sent to you nearer departure.

**Cost & Payment**
The £360 fee includes
• 4 tutored photo workshops : Saturday (day and evening), Sunday and Monday daytime. Photographers get as much photography assistance as required on composition, subject themes and other technical advice to get strong images from your trip
• a photography inspired itinerary to photogenic New York locations
• group sharing of photographs on this MeetUp page.

**Additional Costs**
Travel costs, Insurance, accommodation, exhibition/museum entry tickets and food need to be paid for independently.

**Not Included**: Flights, transfers, accommodation, food and drink, entrance fees to any events or museum, local transport and anything not listed above.

**Equipment**
Any camera
Any lens - 50mm is most practical but a Zoom 50-150mm+ is useful
Spare batteries and charger
Memory cards
Plug adapter
Weather appropriate clothing and footwear
A light tripod that fits into your luggage.
A money belt for valuables, passport, money etc is recommended, and so is as a secure bag for your camera. Do not bring unnecessary valuables with you

**Travel & Accommodation**
Please make sure you have the correct Passport/Visa/ESTA documentation for travelling to the USA.
You may want to extend your trip on either side of our meet-up. N.B You are advised to plan your return flights back to the UK for Tuesday onwards as there will not be enough time on Monday to make a late flight.
Flights to New York currently around £400-450 return. You are advised to locate yourself within easy transport links to central Manhattan, New York.

Combined flights and hotel/accommodation are worth considering.
