Umbraco London February: Cross-Platform, Caching and Community!

Join other Umbracians for an in-person evening of knowledge sharing, community updates and conversation!

Talk 1 - We are delighted to be joined by Jeavon Leopold, Technical Director at Crumpled Dog and Umbraco skills course trainer. Whilst updating training courses to support all platforms, Jeavon needed a strategy for testing code and commands to ensure they would work for everyone taking training. He is going to share with us what he set up by live demonstrating how you can simultaneously run Umbraco locally on both Windows and Linux using WSL and even load balance at the same time. Warning: might contain Linux and some bash ;-)

Talk 2 - People are considering headless/static/JAMstack sites for sustainability reasons. Imran Haider, from Cogworks, is going to talk us through how you can replicate some the benefits of headless and static websites by making minor tweaks to your site's caching, especially with CloudFlare. No need for a full rebuild or significant architecture change to become more sustainable!

And finally, Lotte Pitcher, Developer Advocate at Umbraco, will be keeping us up-to-date with the latest news from Umbraco HQ and the community.
