Umbraco London November: Security Night
Details
Ever wondered how Umbraco gets from a security report to a patch release? Andy Butland, Head of Umbraco CMS, walks us through how Umbraco handles security, then Craig Stevens shows how to set up a Linux workstation for Umbraco development. Come along for two talks, refreshments and conversation. Spaces are limited, so grab your place!
Doors open from 18:30 and we'll look to get started around 18:45. We'll finish by 21:00, when we take the conversations to a local pub.

Patch Day: How Umbraco Handles Security
by Andy Butland - Head of Umbraco CMS
Security releases have been landing thick and fast, and the wider web has had its share of headline-grabbing vulnerabilities too. So what actually happens behind the scenes when a security issue is reported? Andy will walk through how the team approaches reports, fixes and releases, and the trade-offs that come with each decision (there are more than you'd think). Then it's your turn: we'd love to hear what works for you, what doesn't, and what you'd change. Come ready to ask the awkward questions.

Umbraco on Linux: Setting Up Your Dev Workstation
by Craig Stevens
Think you need Windows or a Mac to build Umbraco sites? Craig will show how to set up a Linux workstation for Umbraco development.
-----
Our hosts, This is Embrace, will kindly be providing some refreshments. Space is a bit limited, so if you can no longer make it, please update your RSVP to No so people on the waiting list can take your place.
-----
If you would like to contribute to our meetups, please get in touch by email (hello@umblondon.co.uk) - we are always looking for people to give talks, or London-based Umbraco agencies to host us for the evening.
Please read the Code of Conduct for all our events.
