The Orchards and Rolling Hills of Kent

Details
September is apple-picking season, and what better place to spend it than among the orchards of the Garden of England?
That's where our next walk will lead, around 12 miles (20km) from the village of Wateringbury, nestling in the valley of the River Medway, westwards via the secluded dells of Ightham Mote (National Trust cuteness and tearoom alert) and thenceward along the Greensand Ridge (fine views southwards) past Knole House (National Trust grandeur alert) on to Sevenoaks.
Pub stops and scrumping opportunities included - all in all a fine day out!
